Overview:

Knowable is an enterprise legal software company that builds CMS tools for contract data and lifecycle management. Through machine learning and legal subject expertise, their platform analyzes over 25 million contract data elements each quarter. Focused on building technology that helps transform paper contracts into usable and insightful data.

I contributed to this project through research, ideation, design, and user testing. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in engineering and product, and with guidance from my design lead, I helped shape the work we presented to stakeholders for the Q4 engineering sprint.

Problem:

Writing contracts can be very time consuming for lawyers. Files are stored in unorganized repositories, which makes referencing templates and other resources a tedious task. Lawyers need a better way to find and view their documents on a company-wide scale.

Solution:

Position Board is an app that visualizes contract structure, archives legal documents, and capture user data for analytics on the Knowable platform. The main goal is to improve the writing process for lawyers, while reducing legal risk during negotiations.

  1. Reduce time wasted searching for reference documents
